You scroll for hours. Watch videos. Read posts. Your hands are busy. Your tongue is busy. But what are you earning?
What if I told you that in the same time—with the same effort—you could be planting an actual forest in Paradise?
The Message from Prophet Ibrahim عليه السلام
Abdullah ibn Mas’ud رضي الله عنه reported in Sunan at-Tirmidhi (3462): The Prophet ﷺ said:
“I met Ibrahim عليه السلام during the Night Journey (Mi’raj), and he said: ‘O Muhammad, convey my greetings of peace to your Ummah, and tell them that Paradise has pure soil and delicious water, and that it is a flat, treeless plain. Its seeds are: SubhanAllah (Glory be to Allah ﷻ), Alhamdulillah (All praise is to Allah ﷻ), La ilaha illallah (There is no god but Allah ﷻ), and Allahu Akbar (Allah ﷻ is the Greatest).'”
Read that slowly. Paradise—prepared for you—has pure soil and delicious water. Everything you need to grow the most beautiful trees imaginable. But it’s empty. Waiting for you to plant.
And the seeds? Words you can say right now. SubhanAllah. Alhamdulillah. La ilaha illallah. Allahu Akbar.
Each word = one tree. Real trees. In your personal garden in Jannah.
What These Trees Look Like
Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه reported in Sunan Ibn Majah (3807): The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever says ‘SubhanAllah,’ or ‘Alhamdulillah,’ or ‘La ilaha illallah,’ or ‘Allahu Akbar,’ a tree will be planted for him in Paradise.”
Imam Hakim رحمه الله declared this hadith authentic. These aren’t symbolic trees. These are real trees being planted right now in your future home.
Some narrations describe these trees:
- Roots made of rubies
- Trunks of gold and silver
- Branches stretching for miles
- Shade that lasts forever
- Fruits sweeter than honey, softer than butter
- Unlike any tree you’ve seen on Earth
The Prophet ﷺ described trees in Paradise so massive that a rider on the fastest horse would travel for 100 years and not reach the end of their shade.
And you’re planting them. Right now. With your tongue.
The Math Is Staggering
Say “SubhanAllah” once. One tree planted.
Say “Alhamdulillah” once. One tree planted.
Say “La ilaha illallah” once. One tree planted.
Say “Allahu Akbar” once. One tree planted.
That’s four trees in five seconds.
Now multiply. You say these four phrases 25 times. That’s 100 trees. Takes maybe three minutes.
You do this daily for a year. That’s 36,500 trees. Your own forest.
You do this for 50 years. That’s 1,825,000 trees. An entire landscape of Paradise filled with trees you planted with words that cost you nothing.
The Specific Dhikr with Massive Rewards
Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه reported in Sahih al-Bukhari (6682) and Sahih Muslim (2691): The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever says ‘SubhanAllah wa bihamdihi’ (Glory be to Allah ﷻ and praise Him) 100 times, his sins will be forgiven even if they are as much as the foam of the sea.”
100 times. That’s it. Your sins—all of them—forgiven. Even if they’re as massive as the foam covering the entire ocean.
And in another hadith in Sahih Muslim (2694): The Prophet ﷺ said:
“He who recites in the morning and in the evening: ‘SubhanAllah wa bihamdihi’ 100 times, will not be surpassed on the Day of Resurrection by anyone with better deeds except one who utters the same words or utters more.”
Morning: 100 times. Evening: 100 times. That’s 200 trees daily. Plus your sins forgiven. Plus deeds no one can surpass except those who do the same or more.
Five minutes of your day. Massive, eternal returns.
The Dhikr That Fills the Scales
Abdullah ibn Khubayb رضي الله عنه reported in Jami’ at-Tirmidhi (3585): The Prophet ﷺ said:
“‘SubhanAllah wa bihamdihi’ is beloved to me more than everything the sun rises upon.”
More beloved than everything on Earth. All the wealth. All the kingdoms. All the treasures. This simple phrase is worth more to Allah ﷻ than all of that.
And Samura ibn Jundub رضي الله عنه reported in Abu Dawud (1504): The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The dearest words to Allah ﷻ are four: SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, La ilaha illallah, and Allahu Akbar.”
The dearest words. To Allah ﷻ. And you can say them anytime. Anywhere. While walking. While cooking. While waiting. While scrolling.
How to Start Building Your Forest Today
Morning routine: After Fajr, sit for five minutes. Say:
- SubhanAllah (33 times)
- Alhamdulillah (33 times)
- Allahu Akbar (34 times)
That’s 100 trees before your day even starts.
Evening routine: After Maghrib or before sleep:
- SubhanAllah wa bihamdihi (100 times)
Another 100 trees. Plus all sins forgiven.
Throughout the day: Every time you’re waiting—in line, at a traffic light, between tasks—instead of checking your phone, say:
- SubhanAllah
- Alhamdulillah
- La ilaha illallah
- Allahu Akbar
While scrolling: For every post you see, say one dhikr. You scroll through 50 posts? That’s 50 trees you could have planted.
Before sleep: The Prophet ﷺ taught in Sahih al-Bukhari (5362): Say SubhanAllah 33 times, Alhamdulillah 33 times, and Allahu Akbar 34 times before sleep. 100 trees planted while you drift off.
The Regret You Don’t Want
On Judgment Day, you’ll see your gardens in Paradise. Trees stretching as far as the eye can see. Shade. Fruit. Beauty beyond imagination.
And you’ll wish—desperately wish—that you had said SubhanAllah one more time. That instead of wasting those moments scrolling, you had planted just one more tree.
The Prophet ﷺ said in Sahih al-Bukhari (6407): “There are two blessings which many people lose: health and free time.”
You have health now. You have free time now. Your tongue works. Your mind is conscious. Use it.
Because one day soon, you’ll be in your grave. Unable to move. Unable to speak. Unable to plant a single tree. And you’ll see the trees others planted—forests and forests of them—and realize how many moments you wasted.
Start Right Now
Stop reading. Right now. And say:
SubhanAllah (10 times)
Alhamdulillah (10 times)
La ilaha illallah (10 times)
Allahu Akbar (10 times)
40 trees. Just planted. In less than one minute. In your personal garden in Paradise. Real trees that will be there waiting for you. Forever.
Now imagine doing that every day. Multiple times a day. For the rest of your life.
Your forest would be massive. Your garden would be unimaginable. Your place in Jannah would be filled with trees you planted with words that cost you nothing but took you to eternal bliss.
The Beautiful Exchange
Allah ﷻ is offering you the most generous trade in existence:
You give: Simple words that take seconds to say
He gives: Trees in Paradise that last forever
You give: Moments you’d otherwise waste
He gives: Eternal shade and beauty beyond imagination
You give: A few minutes of dhikr daily
He gives: A forest that will make you weep with joy when you see it
What are you waiting for?
Plant your forest. Build your garden. Fill your Paradise. One word at a time. Starting now.
SubhanAllah. Alhamdulillah. La ilaha illallah. Allahu Akbar.
