Abdurrahman

Assalamu alaikum. I'm Abdurrahman, and I created IslamJourney.org because I believe authentic Islamic knowledge should be accessible to everyone—whether you're a lifelong Muslim, a new convert, or just genuinely curious about Islam. My approach is simple: I dive deep into Quran, authentic hadiths, and classical scholarship, then explain it in plain English without the complicated jargon. I'm not a scholar or imam—I'm a student of knowledge who spends way too much time researching Islamic sources and asking, "But why does Islam teach this?" Because understanding the wisdom behind Islamic teachings transforms how you practice them. I grew up watching Muslims (including myself) follow Islam culturally without really understanding why. Why exactly five prayers? Why is interest (riba) such a big deal? Why these specific modesty rules? When you dig into the sources—really study the Quran, the Prophet's (ﷺ) life, what classical scholars explained—it all makes sense. Islam isn't random rules. It's a complete, coherent system addressing every aspect of life. This blog is my attempt to share what I've learned. Every article is researched from Quran, Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, and respected scholars. I cite everything because you deserve to verify Islamic knowledge, not just trust someone's opinion. Whether you're struggling with faith, navigating modern challenges as a Muslim, or exploring Islam for the first time—I hope these articles help. May Allah (SWT) accept this effort and make it beneficial knowledge that guides people to truth. —Abdurrahman (Pseudonym for privacy reasons) Student of Knowledge | IslamJourney.org
